What we can say for sure is that each represents late ‘80’s \/ early ‘90’s dance music at its best, and frequently most uninhibited. The A-side half, pulled from Frank Toson’s (Flightt, KC Flightt, etc.) 12” release on the New Jersey-based TMT Records, is sleek machine groove, with ‘My Thing’ whirling James Brown’s pitch-shifted vocal over the same Liquid-Liquid-esque percussion which accompanies ‘Jazzy Thing’ before it.
