Larry Heard直系の美学をも感じさせる、英国アンダーグラウンド・ディープ・ハウスの隠れた名手Bluelessが残した珠玉の音源集。
Dream DancingによるBlueless再評価シリーズ第2弾となる『Tar Liom EP』。長年ディープ・ハウス愛好家の間で語り継がれてきたBluelessの楽曲を集め、リマスター音源と未発表曲を収録した貴重な一枚だ。
「Maybe Nothing」と「Are You Pleased?」は、Blueless自身が運営していたCapture Recordsから2005年に発表された作品を最新リマスターで収録。暖かなコード、繊細なビート、抑制されたグルーヴが心地よく溶け合い、深夜から夜明けにかけての空気によく似合う、タイムレスなディープ・ハウスを聴かせる。
A2の「Weep 'n Crash」は2008年前後に制作されながら長らく未発表だった楽曲。Larry Heardを思わせるエモーショナルなコード進行や浮遊感のあるシンセワークを軸に、静かな高揚感を描き出す内容で、Bluelessの音楽性を象徴する一曲となっている。
メランコリックな美しさとダンスフロアで機能するリズムが絶妙に調和した全3曲。派手さではなく音の余白や空気感で魅せる、英国ディープ・ハウスの隠れた名作が待望の復刻を果たした。

'Maybe Nothing' & Are You Pleased?' came out on her own Capture Records back in 2005. Both with a fresh remaster ready for those late night or early morning sessions.
On A2 you will find 'Weep 'n Crash', which was written in around 2008 but never saw the light of day until now, clearly inspired by the emotive depths of Larry Heard.
