本作は、ハンブルクを拠点に活動するハウス／エレクトロニカのプロデューサーによる深い音楽性を提示する2枚組LPである。ループやメロディが静かに反復しながら、シンプルなビートと柔らかなベースが広がるサウンドは、無理に流行を追わずにグルーヴの本質だけを追求している。
収録された「A Line」「The Cool World」「Talk」などのトラックは、クラブでもヘッドフォンでもその空間を独自の色で満たす。元々は2010年に発表され支持を集めたこの作品は、Smallvilleの節目を祝うかたちで復刻され、Stefan Marxによるアートワークが視覚的魅力も添えている。
音楽の基盤には古典的なデトロイト／シカゴ・ハウスからの影響が見え、クリストファー・ラウならではの落ち着いた感覚が随所に光る。静と動のバランスが心地よく、ハウスの原理に立ち返るひとつの答えとして楽しめる一作だ。
