Freerange Records is proud to present the latest EP from Coflo, the Bay Area-based producer, DJ, and dancer whose unique blend of deep, percussive house and Afro-rooted rhythms has earned him a growing cult following. With an uncompromising approach to groove, sonic texture, and the dancefloor, Coflo crafts tracks that move bodies and challenge conventions. A lifelong house dancer and a student of Afro-Brazilian art-form Capoeira, his productions bring a deeply human feel to electronic music—always raw, always rhythmically charged, and always dance-focused.
His brilliant debut release on Freerange entitled Who The Frequency EP is a 4-track vinyl and digital release that showcases a wide-range of pumped up, raw, unflinching house sounds.
Made for the dancers, Yewnite is a rugged, underground gem. Driven by filtering synth stabs, gritty textures, and thick drum programming, the track throbs with a hypnotic energy. Vocodered vocals call for unity on the dance floor, adding just a touch of old-school electro while keeping things future-facing.
Next up we have Who Da Frequency featuring Rawb Boss and brings the peak-time pressure with undeniable swagger. Crunchy, lo-fi drums carry the weight while Rawb Boss delivers vocal fire to keep the energy high. Built for big systems and low ceiling’d basements, this is pure house funk with sweat-soaked attitude.
Injecting a dose of Dance Mania-inspired energy, Ring The Alarm turns up the intensity with a distorted, resonant bassline and siren-call alarm samples. Rawb Boss returns to channel a raw hip-house vibe, fusing 90s edge with future grit. Unapologetically brazen and ready to detonate.
Closing things out on a stripped-back tip, Yapperz goes deep to the core. Shuffling, syncopated rhythms lock into a metallic FM bassline, creating an underground atmosphere that’s both relentless and powerful. Head-nodding, body-rocking, late-night business! Coflo’s Freerange debut is a confident statement from an artist fully in his lane—bold, underground, and built for the floor.
