DVS1主宰のレーベルMistress Recordingsから登場した本作は、Donato BasileがDonaとDJ Plant Textureという二つの名義を駆使し、モータウン由来のソウルフルなディープ・ハウスからシカゴ・ハウス、テクノ、ヒップホップを横断するヴァイナル。
プロデューサーDonato Basileが、DVS1主宰のMistress Recordingsから放つ『Mistress 18』。二つの名義であるDonaとDJ Plant Textureが対決するコンセプトで制作され、アメリカ中西部の都市が育んだ多様な音楽への敬意を打ち出した一枚だ。
MPCを用いた巧みなビートメイキングと精緻なマシン・グルーヴを軸に、モータウンの情緒を感じさせるディープ・ハウスをはじめ、シカゴ・ハウスにインスパイアされたトラック、躍動感あふれるテクノ、さらにはヒップホップのインタールードまで多彩な要素を網羅。各名義の個性が交錯し、濃密なダンス・ミュージックを展開する。
