身体の感覚を信じる、その一点に立ち返る作品。
FELIVAND – My Body's My True North は、オーストラリア出身のシンガー／ソングライターFELIVANDによる、強い内省性を持ったアルバム。彼女はこれまでにも、感情や自己認識をテーマにした表現で知られ、繊細で正直な言葉選びとヴォーカルで注目を集めてきた。本作では「考えること」よりも「感じること」を信じる姿勢を明確に掲げ、自身の経験や記憶、身体感覚を音楽の軸として描いている。
体の声に従うことで見えてくる、揺るがない光や方向感覚を“true north”という比喩で表現し、思考に振り回される不安定さとの対比を浮かび上がらせる。サウンドは内向的でミニマル、ヴォーカルは言葉の輪郭を大切にしながら静かに響き、聴き手の感覚に直接触れてくる。セルフリリースという形も含め、表現の距離感が近く、感情の揺れや余白まで伝わる内容で、感覚と向き合う時間を与えてくれる一枚だ。

The concept of the album is all about trusting feeling over thought. It’s a stepping into and an acceptance of the stories, experiences and memories that shape who I am. When I listen to what my body’s telling me, it feels like an unwavering light at the end of the tunnel, an orienting point - something fixed like a ‘true north’ while everything else around it spins. When I follow thought, I'm in with everything that’s spinning.
