Joaquin Joe Claussell がSacred Rhythm Music & Cosmic Arts傘下にて主宰する SORA レーベルから、“Divine Harmonics” シリーズの第4弾として届けられるコラボレーション作品。北海道・札幌を拠点に活動する音楽家 Kuniyuki Takahashi と、ニューヨークのスピリチュアル・ハウスの象徴 Joe Claussell による共作で、タイトルの通り「過去から現在へ」と続く音の調和をテーマにしている。
本作はブルックリンのレコーディング・スタジオで録音され、Kuniyuki の音楽を敬愛するミュージシャンたちが集結。Lekan Babalola（アフリカン・ドラム＆パーカッション）、James Bergeau（リード・ギター）、そして Joe Claussell 自身がヴォイスとパーカッションを担当。Kuniyuki はアコースティック・ピアノ、キーボード、ドラム・プログラミングを手掛けている。
柔らかくも緊張感を湛えたパーカッションと、Kuniyuki の繊細なピアノが交錯し、霊的なエネルギーが立ち上がるような構成。ディープ・ハウスの形式を超え、ジャズや民族音楽の要素が自然に溶け合ったサウンドは、まるで祈りの儀式を思わせる。単なるクラブ・ミュージックではなく、“音の対話”そのものを記録した作品といえる。
シリーズは二部構成で、本作はそのPart One。SORAレーベルが提示する“スピリチュアル・ハウス”の到達点のひとつ。

Here we present Part one of a Two Part Series.
Recorded in a full-fledged Recording Studio in Brooklyn New York, the idea behind this current project was to assemble a few admires of Kuniyuki's music and invite them to participate in the composition.
The musicians on this project include master percussionist composer Lekan Babalola on African Drums and Percussion, Lead Guitarist James Bergeau , Joaquin Joe Claussell Main Voice and Percussions; And of course, the artist himself Kuniyuki Takahashi and Acoustic Piano, Keyboards and Drum Programming.
