B1. Obsession
B2. Rejoice
Early support from Rocky (X-Press 2), Lovefingers (ESP Institute) Ross Allen (NTS), Sean Johnston (ALFOS), Logan Fisher (Tryouts), Chris Sweet (Northern Soul Rave Patrol), Darren Stewart (La America), David Elders (MFSB Edinburgh), Craig Christon, Linda Boyle (1BTN), and Dave Jarvis (Faith).
Skyrager, aka Danny McLewin (Psychemagik/Ghost Vision) delivers a long awaited, genre-busting trio of edits on the legendary Moton label to light up all rooms and dancefloors this season...
DJ Feedback:
Logan Fisher: An ep bursting with love. A cock-sure disco throbber lands on the A and a tasty duo of 80's synth wobblers on the flip for your back pocket. Another top drawer offering from the disco don, Danny McLewin.
Ross Allen: More Moton Magic… I love this diverse, twisted edit EP from Skyrager... Flicking from the Weatherall esque Rejoice to the Ma Foom Bey goes Mariachi brilliance of Obsession to the Twangy, Punky Funky groove of 2000 years. They all bump in their own freaked out, funky way. Fuck knows what they are edits of but they’re great…
Rocky-x press 2: The 30th birthday cards to Moton continue. This one coming from top producer and incredible selector, Skyrager. A side is an edit of some obscure 70s disco rock album track flipped with 2 superb edits of late 80s early 90s chunky, slo-mo house. As ever with Moton, buy it or miss out at your peril. Another stunning package of dance floor flavours.
