The Mighty Zafが Linkwoodとタッグで、故Phil Asherへの敬意を込めて制作した12インチ。ディスコ、ファンク、スペース・ファンクをクロスするエディット作品だ。
A面の「Thinking About Phlash」は、力強いギターリフとディスコ特有の迫力あるベースラインを軸に、宇宙を思わせる浮遊感のある雰囲気を重ねたインストゥルメンタル・グルーヴ。時代を問わず響く質感が心地良い。
B面「Phlash Boogie」は、軽やかでありながら奥深さも感じさせるファンキーなビートが特徴的。初期スペース・ファンクの要素とダイナミックな鍵盤が活き活きと絡み合い、リズムの緻密さと宇宙的なムードが完璧に調和している。
