-----------------------

I'm currently obsessed with the movie Michael.
Extremely obsessed.
I've already seen it nine times in theaters.
But it's still not enough. I want to see it more.

I'm so obsessed with this movie that right after watching it, I check the showtimes to see which theater to watch it at next.

I talk about this movie almost every day at work, so I'm sure everyone at work is probably annoyed with me (I regret it a little).

I only talk about this on social media too, so people who see my posts have started saying, "Emi-chan, you're really into Michael right now, aren't you~" more often.

And when they talk to me, I get happy and start talking about this movie endlessly again, becoming an annoying person (I regret this too).

But the reason I'm so obsessed with this movie is that the acting and performance of the lead, Jaafar Jackson, and the child actor, Juliano Krue Valdi, are so wonderful, and the biggest reason is that I've become completely possessed by their charm, and I want to go see the two of them, who are vividly playing Michael on the screen, over and over again, so I'm continuing to go for more Michael (this is what people call going to see the movie Michael over and over again on the internet) more Michael.

First of all, Juliano-kun's pure and cute acting as young Michael during the Jackson 5 era is the best!!

I cry every time at the scene where he eats ice cream with his mother Katherine and Lady Borden, and the scene where he goes close to the girl in the wheelchair in the front row at the amusement park live performance to give fan service.
Also, the part where he hugs Berry Gordy of Motown is cute and makes my heart flutter.

And and above all, the star of this movie, Jaafar Jackson!!
Who knew Michael's nephew was such an incredible talent...

The Jackson family is in trouble!!

Now I'm so obsessed with him that I'm completely fallen into the abyss, watching his interview videos and filming videos on YouTube every day. Jaafar abyss.

Jaafar originally did music, but this movie is said to be his first time doing dance and acting seriously, and to play this role of Michael, he underwent dance and acting lessons for two years, and thanks to that intense training, you can fully enjoy his wonderful performance on the big screen in the movie, as if Michael himself had possessed him, which is the best!!

First of all, what surprised me most was that Jaafar's voice I heard in interviews and such is a normal adult male's voice, but when he plays Michael, it becomes a neutral and gentle voice, exactly Michael's voice, and his acting is so good it's like Michael himself is talking, and I'm so impressed it's just pure surprise!!

The highlights of this movie are definitely the performances of BEAT IT, THRILLER, BILLIE JEAN, and so on, and the live scenes of HUMAN NATURE, WORKIN’ DAY AND NIGHT, and BAD that unfold at the end of the movie, but Jaafar's drama scenes are so wonderful that they are not inferior to these numerous wonderful performance scenes, and I never get tired of watching them no matter how many times, so it's amazing.

Jaafar plays Michael so well that it's hard to believe it's his first acting role, while retaining the innocence of a child even as an adult Michael, but also being delicate and somewhat unstable with a shadow, and I get sucked into his acting, especially his "eyes" that speak.

In the scenes with the llama Louie and the chimpanzee Bubbles, he has sparkling pure eyes like a boy, and in the scene with Joseph (his father), he has a terrified face with no light in his eyes, and through the change in his eyes, Michael's feelings are conveyed to us so painfully, and every time I feel like my soul is being taken away by Jaafar's realistic acting...

On social media, long-time Michael fans were pointing out various things comparing Jaafar and Michael, like their body types are different and Michael is obviously better at dancing, but I think it's precisely because he's different from Michael that so many people are moved by the acting and performance of Jaafar, who is a real human being.

Jaafar's acting and performance are not a copy, but a cover, I think it's a cover of love and respect.

I think this movie is not for people who want a perfect copy of Michael.

In the music video of LOVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD, an unreleased song released after Michael passed away (I wonder why this was unreleased, it's such a masterpiece), Justin Timberlake and other dancers' footage and Michael's past footage seen through the TV are shown alternately, but that rather confronts us with the fact that Michael is not among the living people now, that Michael has died, and it made me so sad and I cried, and a few years later, I never dreamed I could have such a miraculous experience as if Michael had been reborn in the modern world through Jaafar's body...

For those who haven't seen this movie yet, I really want you to see it on the big screen with loud sound.

And please fall into the Jaafar Michael abyss with me.
