KORG handytraxx

KORG, the company known for synthesizers and other electronic instruments, is releasing a product inspired by the now-defunct Vestax portable turntable handy trax, called "handytraxx". It feels like it's been powered up with one extra "x" lol. And they're releasing three models at the same time (?). KORG is really going for it.

Vestax handy trax

The "handytraxx play" is specialized for sound play such as scratching and effects, the triode vacuum tube-equipped "handytraxx tube", and the "handytraxx 1bit", which comes with the hi-res music software AudioGate 4 and focuses on digitizing records.

The real standouts are the "handytraxx tube" and the "handytraxx 1bit". I think the playback performance and specifications of these two models are the same, but despite being portable units, they are built with a focus on sound quality, featuring a vacuum tube phono equalizer, a die-cast aluminum platter, an MM cartridge, and a tonearm with adjustable tracking force.

For those who already own a turntable like the SL1200 series, it seems like a great secondary playback device, and of course, it also looks very good for first-time turntable buyers. It has built-in speakers, so it can play on its own!

It is a huge step up from Vestax's handy trax, but I hope it is released at as affordable a price as possible.

Detailed pages are available for all three models, so please check them out!
