Ichiko Hashimoto - Beauty [Colored Vinyl] [Available 9/23]

Japanese crossover/fusion is hot again! Japanese fusion has rapidly resurfaced since around last year, either as an evolution of the global city pop boom's re-evaluation or as a spin-off phenomenon.

Kazuko Hashimoto, a keyboardist/composer/vocalist widely known as a support member of YMO and popular in the overseas club music scene with the cutting-edge dance-pop unit Colored Music alongside Atsuo Fujimoto, released her second solo album in '85.
Released on the label DOMO run by Katsumi Watanabe, it was naturally produced by Katsumi Watanabe. Of course, she also plays guitar.
A highly versatile and diverse range of authentic crossover music, including fusion, techno, piano pieces, danceable, classical, Japanesque, bossa nova, and ambient.
Her ethereal singing voice is also wonderful.
