Description
Sound Limited's third album, also hailed as a "hidden gem." This sensuality. This depth. Takeshi Inomata's jazz-rock has entered a new dimension.
Formed at the end of 1969, Sound Limited recorded three albums in quick succession in 1970, as if reflecting Takeshi Inomata's ambition. This third work is "New Rock In Europe." Centered on songs by European musicians such as The Beatles, Donovan, and Nino Rota, this album has many highlights, including "Something," with its captivating, shimmering guitar by Mitsuo Mizutani, and the excitingly tight groove of "Barabajagal," but the re-recording of Inomata's original "Mustache," a staple of the group's repertoire, is particularly welcome. This is their third recording after "Sounds Of Sound L.T.D." and "Sensational Jazz Vol. 1/2," but the version here is sensual and psychedelic, as if condensing the atmosphere of the entire album. It is a landmark work that announces that Takeshi Inomata's jazz-rock has entered a new dimension.
