Description
This sense of speed, this exhilaration. A man who knows no dead ends, Takeshi Inomata, breaks through the limits of groove with his versatile stick work.
Takeshi Inomata, the renowned drummer who has always kept his eyes on the times and blazed new frontiers, presents another masterpiece released during the golden age of jazz-rock. Although it is a so-called instructional record produced as part of the "Method" series, its musicality is intensely funky and groovy, as if deliberately provoking the listener. Leading Sound Limited, a renowned group that played a major role in the development of Japanese jazz-rock, he breaks through the limits of groove with his versatile stick work. From cover songs such as "Runaway Child" and "Smack Water Jack" to "Sleeper" and "Seven Four," composed by his close associate Kenzo Maeda, on which he also participated in the arrangement, and the overwhelmingly powerful drum solo "Drum Concert," the album is packed with a diverse selection of tracks delivered with flawless, high-density groove.
