異才Skyragerが自身のレーベルHITDから放つ刺激的な12インチ盤。『Love Is The Massage』と題された本作は、彼が掘り起こした音源に独自の魔法をかけた3トラックを収録。愛に満ちたディスコの至福とダンスフロアを熱狂させるエネルギーが詰まっている。
A面の『Love Affair』は14分近くに及ぶ大作。ポップなユーロ・ファンクとブギーが融合したこのトラックは、控えめなドラム、夢見心地のキーボード、滑らかなシンセ、切ないヴォーカルが織りなすオレンジ・ジュースとSerge Ponsarの秘密のセッションを思わせる。
『Love Is Good』はカリブの陽光を感じさせるソウルフルなソカ・バンガー。完璧なギターとシンセのフックに、遊び心溢れるヴォーカルが乗り、ダンスフロア・アンセムとなる潜在力を秘める。
締めくくる『Love Is Bad』はAORスタイルのディスコ・グルーヴァー。しなやかなベースラインと煌めく多重ヴォーカルが、聴く者を純粋な幸福感で包み込む。

International music maverick, nug-finder extraordinaire and sonic sorcerer Skyrager is back. With his latest must-grab 12" release, cheekily titled 'Love Is The Massage', the maestro drops another dose of sublime grooves via his private HITD imprint. As always, these tracks are dug up from the deepest crates, lovingly reworked, and steeped in Skyrager's signature secret sauce. Across three dazzling cuts, expect a kaleidoscopic journey of love-fuelled disco bliss and relentless dancefloor energy. A-Side: 'Love Affair' kicks things off in grand, extended style. Clocking in at just under 14 minutes, this poppy, Euro-funk-infused boogie bomb takes up the entire side. Stripped-back drums, dreamy keys, smooth synths, and yearning vocals blend effortlessly-imagine Orange Juice meeting Serge Ponsar for a secret jam session. Things heat up with 'Love Is Good', a sun-soaked Caribbean-inspired gem. This soulful soca banger boasts pitch-perfect guitar and synth hooks, topped with a wonderfully playful and up-close vocal performance that steals the show making the cut a dancefloor anthem in waiting. Finally, 'Love Is Bad' closes out the EP with pure euphoria. This private-press AOR style disco groover oozes funky, laid-back cool.
