Description
Akira Ishikawa delves deep and cuts sharp into jazz. A fierce battle unfolds atop waves of refined groove. A historic masterpiece that opened a new door in an era of chaos.
In 1970, Akira Ishikawa, who was forging ahead in the heart of the jazz-rock scene, looked into the chaotic atmosphere of the times and challenged "the jazz beyond." In other words, this work, "Electrum," is the moment when Akira Ishikawa delved deepest and cut sharpest into jazz. Amidst the refined groove, musicians race toward new heights, pushing themselves to the limit. The masterpiece "Electrum," which races through like a storm; "Revulsion," where multiple vectors intersect in complex ways; and the beautiful "Speak Under My Breath," reminiscent of a clear dawn, press in with a density that leaves no room to catch your breath. The participation of two genius pianists/composers and arrangers, Hitoshi Sato and Hiroki Suzuki, is also not to be missed. Here is the revival of a work highly acclaimed as Akira Ishikawa's greatest masterpiece. A release from the Victor
