Featuring unique guests such as Annie The Clumsy, photographer Julie Watai, and Kinue Itagaki Yoshino of "Kansai House," a masterpiece of the 10's filled with admiration and homage to 70's new music has been completed.
Lemon is a 70's new music reconstruction project that grew out of the exchanges between people involved in music, fashion, design, advertising, and clubs who gathered at the Miyamasuzaka Building, Japan's first condominium building built in Shibuya shortly after the war. Following three 7-inch releases, they will release their first album as the 2015 RECORD STORE DAY title. Kinue Itagaki Yoshino (A4), whose “Kanpai House” released on SoundCloud became a hot topic, Momi (B1) from Lulululuz, Julie Watai (B2), a photographer and talent known as an Akihabara creator, and Annie, a ukulele-playing singer-songwriter. A group of new songs featuring folk and soft rock with a Showa era atmosphere, featuring female vocalists from different scenes and careers, such as The Clumsy (B3). In addition, the songs included in the preceding singles, ``Toki no Tanimani'' (a phantom debut song that sold out immediately) and ``Yume no Mata Yume'', are also included in new versions with changed vocals and arrangements. The last song recorded as an encore, “Planet Shadow,” is also a popular 80s idol song. The jacket design is by YOSHIROTTEN, an up-and-coming art director who has received worldwide acclaim, including appearing on the cover of the art magazine ``LODOWN.''
