Alixkun's latest project "Kumo No Muko" from Tokyo-based label Jazzy Couscous. A total of 12 songs and 2 LP compilations are now available in collaboration with HMV record shop. Alixkun, a Frenchman living in Japan, is back with "Kumo No Muko," a 10-year culmination project that explores various Japanese music while digging through dusty records. After he introduced 90s underground Japanese house with his triple LP House...Once upon a time in Japan, he began exploring Japanese ambient and ambient music. With 'Kumo No Muko', he immersed himself in exotic ambient and environmental music that began in Japan in the 80's, the beginning of the bubble period, and this compilation album is the result. Takashi Kokubo's "Underwater Dreaming", which decorates the opening, leads to the depths of the blue sea, like in a dream, with a relaxed melody. The next two tracks feature excellent ambient performances by the likes of outstanding Japanese composers Keizo Inoue, Kazumi Watanabe, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Nobuyoshi Ino. In addition, Dip in the Pool's "Kuroi Dress No Onna" and Mami Koyama's "Love Song" combine deep, otherworldly performances with floaty vocals, giving this project a truly Japanese element. are adding. "In The Beginning" by Fumio Miyashita and "The Mirage" by Yoshio Suzuki sound as if they invite you to a world beyond human imagination through their mysterious synth pad variations. The final track, Chakra's "Itohoni," closes the compilation with a repetitive mantra and an uplifting performance. Expect further discoveries of many rare and wonderful music that may not yet be recognized. Kumo No Muko is Tokyo Digger's tribute to a scene and era that has been eclipsed until recently for the world's diggers.
