Description
The New York art scene of the 1960s was revolutionized around the world by party people such as Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, Allen Ginsberg, Nico, and Edie Sedgwick. Meanwhile, Patti Smith, who came to New York from the countryside hoping to become a waitress, was not supposed to become a waitress, but her life blossomed when she met Robert Mapplethorpe, who was also a poor art student. This work, released in 1975, is her debut work and it is no exaggeration to say that it is her best work. Listen to Patti's beautiful yet androgynous vocals and unchanging rock spirit, known as the Queen of Punk.
