A new self-produced 7-inch has arrived from the mysterious project CSR (Cholesterol), whose cover of Mariya Takeuchi released in 2015 became a hot topic! This time, they do a comical Japanese cover of Zhane's dance classic "Hey Mr. DJ" and a bold cover of Little Beaver's signature song and Miami soul masterpiece "Party Down." Although details such as vocalist and producer are unknown, CSR left an impact with its amazing quality. The long-awaited new release is a must-have disc for DJs that is sure to liven up the floor at peak times! The A-side, "Hey Mr. Deb," is a parody Japanese cover of the dance classic "Hey Mr. DJ," released in 1993 by Philadelphia female R&B duo Zhane. It's a killer tune that's sure to get the floor buzzing, with a bitter-sweet 90's R&B sound that's faithful to the original song, and a funny lyric about a passion for food. The B-side includes a cover of Little Beaver's signature song and Miami soul masterpiece "Party Down," released in 1974. The original song's minimal rhythm box and melancholy mellow feeling remain intact, and the husky, adult female vocals cut into it soulfully, creating an exquisite dance number.
