Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed

This is Brian Jones' last great album, which includes songs such as ``Gimme Shelter,'' ``Midnight Rambler,'' and ``Mujou Sekai.'' Released in 1969. There are only two songs with Brian, and 20-year-old Mick Taylor participated in the recording of the others. Guest musicians include Ry Cooder and Leon Russell. Throughout the album, the Jagger/Richards worldview, a deep admiration for blues and soul, and a fusion with rock that accompanies the hippie movement are common. The slight deviation from the black rhythm and trib feel that Brian was pursuing ended up pushing him into a corner. The album reached number 1 in the UK and number 3 in the US.
