Alexander Ridha, better known as Boys Noize, is a Hamburg-born DJ/producer based in Berlin. He began DJing at age 15 and released music on labels such as DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolos Records before founding his own Boysnoize Records in 2005. He is also known for a wide range of projects, including remixes for Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, David Lynch, and Nine Inch Nails, as well as Dog Blood with Skrillex.
Released on Running Back, "ITVLO" is a machine track that traverses electro, techno, and disco while incorporating the distinctive glamour of Italo disco. The title track, "ITVLO," centers on hard-edged synths and mechanical rhythms, balancing the tension of a late-night club with a melodic feel. While it possesses the raw texture of electro, it has a seductive quality that elevates it beyond a mere hard dancefloor track.
The B-side, "LOVDED," follows the same direction but is crafted with a greater emphasis on groove and repetition.
Boys Noize originally grew up listening to house and Chicago house, and in his early DJ days, he played deep house artists such as Moodymann, Theo Parrish, and French Touch.
