テキサス州Austinを拠点に活動するプロデューサーFather Sheedが、M.A.D Recordsから4トラック入りEPをリリース。レーベルのコンピレーション『A MAD 5 Years』に収録されたグルーヴ感あふれる“Pancumbia”に続く作品となる。
本作『Boom! EP』は、遊び心あるサンプリング、パンチの効いたドラム・グルーヴ、そして隙のないシンセ・スケープが詰まった、フロア直結のディスコ／ハウス作品。タイトル曲“Boom!”をはじめ、軽快なリズムとひねりのある展開でディスコテークを熱くする全4曲を収録。
