joe ClaussellやRon Trent、Fred P.あたりのファンに大スイセン！ロンドン拠点でディープ・ハウスを軸に活動してきたHumble B Flatが、自身のレーベルZinniaを立ち上げ、温かく内省的なハウスをまとめ上げた上質なフル・アルバム。
『Indigo Blues』は、Humble B Flatによる全8曲・2枚組構成の作品で、ディープ・ハウスを軸にしながら、よりパーソナルで落ち着いた音世界を丁寧に描いている。これまでBBE周辺などでリリースを重ねてきた流れを受け、プロダクションの細やかさとグルーヴの成熟度が一段と際立つ内容。
ウォームで丸みのあるコード、控えめに刻まれるビート、そして静かに広がる空間処理。過度に主張する要素は少なく、ひとつひとつの音が余白を持ちながら重なり、ゆっくりと感情を引き出していく。ディープ・ハウス特有の低温のグルーヴに、ジャズやソウルの感覚をにじませた構成で、リスニングにもフロアにも自然にフィットする仕上がり。
トラックごとに濃淡を変えながら、「Indigo」という言葉が示すような深い青のトーンを軸に、落ち着きと温もりを行き来するサウンドが展開される。派手さではなく、持続する心地よさと奥行きで聴かせるタイプの作品。
レーベルZinniaの第一歩として、アーティスト自身の美意識と方向性を明確に提示した一枚。クラブ・ユースだけでなく、日常の中でじっくり向き合えるディープ・ハウス。

Following some exciting releases from Humble B Flat in 2025, ‘Indigo Blues’ is the premier release on his new imprint Zinnia Records launching this May. Indigo Blues - an 8 track double disk journey through various depths of deep, cosy, warm and blue. Launching the release at the BBE store on the 19th May.
