Kevin Saunderson, one of the pioneers of Detroit techno. The legendary group he leads, Inner City, returned after a hiatus in 1996 with the classic track "Future," co-created with fellow Detroit heavyweight Kenny Larkin and highly acclaimed producer Orlando Voorn. Now, it returns in a long-awaited reissue featuring powerful remixes!
Inner City was a pioneering group that blended the tough, futuristic grooves of Detroit with the passionate vocals of R&B and gospel, propelling techno and house to the global charts. This release includes the Kenny Larkin remix, which has electrified dancefloors since its original release, as well as Carl Craig's edit, which was included on the original pressing, and even MK's "AW Deep Dub," which was once available only in extremely limited numbers as a hand-stamped white-label record.
As the needle carves through the grooves of the vinyl, ironclad basslines and sharp synth melodies are unleashed. A soulful edge that can be called the essence of Detroit techno shakes the room directly through the speakers. This record captures a timeless collaboration between masters who have shaped the history of dance music.

In 2011 Kevin Saunderson, Ann Saunderson and Paris Grey, collectively known as the legendary band Inner City, released ‘Future’, their first entirely new material since taking a break in 1996, written and produced in collaboration with another Detroit legend, namely Kenny Larkin, and the very talented producer / remixer Orlando Voorn. The track marked a welcome return for a group that combined the tough, futuristic grooves of the Detroit scene with the vocal energy of R&B and gospel and helped to define the period in which house and techno moved from underground phenomena to top 10 material, paving the way for hundreds of dance hits to come.
The Kenny Larkin remix devastated dancefloors at the time and continues to do so over 10 years since its release. Now fully reissued backed with the Carl Craig edit from the original pressing and the MK AW Deep Dub which had previously only seen a one-sided hand stamped white label vinyl outing.
