Micky MoreとAndy Teeが手がけるGroove Cultureによる「Groove Is In The Heart Vol.3」は、オーガニックなハウスを軸に、ディスコ、ダンスフロア・ソウル、ジャズ・ファンクを横断するコンピレーション。
冒頭から、両者に加えGianni Bini、Angela Johnsonが参加した「In The Stone」のカヴァーが展開。Earth, Wind & Fireの名曲をベースに、軽快なディスコ・ファンクのグルーヴでフロア仕様へ仕上げている。
続くRalph SessionとDj Fudgeによる「Let The Rhythm」は、転がるベースとタイトなビートが特徴のファンキーなハウス。シンプルながら推進力のある展開で、ミックスにも組み込みやすい構成。
Memi P.とGisele Jacksonによる「Make It On My Own」はAlison Limerickのカヴァーで、クラシック・ハウスの流れを汲んだ高揚感ある一曲。ソウルフルなヴォーカルと安定したリズムがフロアに自然な盛り上がりを作る。
さらにAudiowhoresの「Touch The Ground」では、再びAngela Johnsonをフィーチャーし、温かみのあるソウルフルなハウスを展開。滑らかなコードと落ち着いたグルーヴが持続的な流れを作る。
全体を通して、派手さよりもグルーヴの積み重ねで聴かせる内容。ジャンルを横断しながらも一貫してフロア志向の構成で、幅広い時間帯に対応するヴァイナル。
