Description
A masterpiece reflecting the cultural freedom of early 1970s Brazil, where samba, choro, psychedelic folk, and soul blend vividly, is back in print with a 4P insert.
Formed in Bahia in the late 1960s, Novos Baianos is a legendary group that reshaped MPB. Their 1973 album, NOVOS BAIANOS F.C., is a masterpiece that captures their communal living and bold spirit of experimentation. Following the success of “Acabou Chorare,” they further developed samba, choro, folk, psychedelia, and electric street soul, with the unparalleled synergy of Baby Consuelo, Pepeu Gomes, Moraes Moreira, and others creating a warm, vibrant energy. This album captures early 1970s Brazilian culture in a joy-filled way.
