Description
A limited anniversary release celebrating a milestone for the German high-end audio brand clearaudio with house and cosmic sounds in the signature Running Back style.
A commemorative release resulting from a collaboration between Running Back and the German high-end audio manufacturer clearaudio. Produced to celebrate clearaudio's 20th anniversary, this 12-inch record contains six tracks featuring distinctive artists associated with Running Back, including Lopazz, L.U.C.A., Killing A Balkanking, Loving Room, Feater, and Tuff City Kids.
Side A opens slowly with Lopazz's deep-sea ambient track "Schallpause," followed by L.U.C.A.'s refined balearic "Blue Marine" and Killing A Balkanking's NW disco-style "CivEx." The tracklist centers on house music while weaving together cosmic synths, downtempo atmospherics, and machine grooves. Side B features Loving Room's Asian-flavored balearic "Zart," "Ashes" by Feater, who also released music on International Feel, and Tuff City Kids' trippy proto-disco "Fogaudio." While each of the six tracks has its own sonic character, they are united by the club music sensibilities of Running Back.
Tuff City Kids, in particular, is known as the German producer duo of Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer, and is one of the label's central figures with a sound that spans disco, house, and electro. Placing their music alongside tracks by L.U.C.A. and Lopazz also highlights the broad musical range the label has cultivated.
This limited-edition release features 180g heavyweight vinyl and a gatefold sleeve. Not only is the concept of collaborating with an audio brand noteworthy, but the tracklist itself offers plenty of the distinctive Running Back sound, making it a highly recommended release for house and cosmic music listeners.
