Description
A top-tier deep house compilation featuring carefully selected tracks from world-class talents, including Atlanta talent Byron The Aquarius, discovered by Theo Parrish, and New York deep house heavyweight Fred P, curated by Canadian maverick Demuir.
This lavish compilation, living up to its 'All-Star' moniker, arrives from Purveyor Underground Ltd, the Toronto-based label headed by Demuir, a champion of funky house. Bringing together tracks from outstanding talents with proven credentials in the deep house scene, it delivers an outstanding selection that will not disappoint.
The compilation opens with a supremely dreamy, hazy, and smoothly rolling groove from Atlanta star Byron The Aquarius, who has released multiple records on Theo Parrish's label. Next comes Fred P's 'Sunny Rain Drops (Cosmic House Edit)', which captivates the world with its distinctive spiritual sound. The jazzy bass, solid beats, and layered sonic textures with a subtle psychedelic feel are superb. Furthermore, the label boss Demuir's own 'Alone In Chicago' is a dynamic peak-time track that gently refines the sample-heavy style of DJ Sneak's direct lineage.
The compilation also features M Squared's 'Dance', showcasing elongated electric piano chords, emotional samples, and jazzy house grooves, as well as Justin Joe's 'AFaOA (As Far As Our Attitude)', which exquisitely captures the lightness of jazz house. A lavish vinyl that encapsulates the distinct personalities of each talented artist.

Not all 'All Stars' style releases live up to their name, but this multi-artist extravaganza from Demuir's Purveyor Underground Ltd label most certainly does. The Canadian artist has snapped up tracks from some genuinely impressive deep house talents, with predictably fine results. For proof, check the deliciously dreamy, hazy and rolling opener from Atlanta star Byron The Aquarius, the jazzy bass, locked-in beats and lightly psychedelic layered aural textures of Fred P's 'Sunny Rain Drops (Cosmic House Edit)' and the softened DJ Sneak-style sample-rich peak-time bump of Demuir's own 'Alone In Chicago'. Elsewhere, M Squared reaches for elongated electric piano chords, eyes-closed samples and jazzy house grooves on 'Dance', before Justin Joe delivers an exquisite exercise in jazz-house jauntiness ('AFaOA (As Far As Our Attitude)').
