Description
A deep house classic by Vince Watson is reconstructed and revived by the artist himself!
Released on his own Everysoul Audio label, “Eminesence” comes from Glasgow-born Vince Watson, who is now based in Amsterdam. The original was released on Osunlade’s Yoruba Records in 2015, but as a highly limited vinyl release, it had long been difficult to obtain. It is one of the most representative tracks of Watson’s career, to the point that he describes it as one of his “most requested, purchased, and licensed works.”
This time’s A-side, “Eminesence [2026 Rework],” is not merely a repress, but a new version mixed and mastered by Watson himself. A sharply cut bassline, layered piano and synths, sparkling keys, and gradually expanding strings create both deep emotion and dancefloor momentum. Its simple structure makes the changes in chords and timbre stand out, encapsulating Watson’s distinctive lyricism, rooted in Detroit techno and deep house.
The B-side, “Reach For The Sun [Floor Mix],” is a new dancefloor-oriented reconstruction of a track from the 2012 album “Every Soul Needs A Guide.” Jazz-inflected chords, driving four-to-the-floor beats and percussion, and soaring synth chords and strings intertwine to lift the dancefloor as the title suggests. It is a beautiful fusion of Watson’s signature Detroit-inspired house and techno sensibilities with jazz and soul.
This is a long-awaited vinyl return for DJs and collectors who had been searching for the 2015 Yoruba Records pressing, and its appeal is further enhanced by the fact that it is not a simple reissue, but an updated 2026 version by the artist himself. A powerful 12-inch featuring two essential tracks for anyone familiar with Vince Watson’s deep house and Detroit sound.

One of Vince Watson’s biggest selling tracks (but rarest vinyl records) finally gets a repress on wax. This time fully remastered and mixed and on his own Everysoul Audio imprint. The original vinyl release on Osunlade’s Yoruba Records in 2015, and was a very limited vinyl run. Now it sounds better than ever and on fresh wax. The track is backed up by a new dancefloor version of ‘Reach For The Sun’, a track that featured on the ‘Every Soul Needs A Guide’ album. This time its flexing jazz vibes, a driving addictive rhythm and ‘Jaguar-esque’ uplifting chords and strings.
